The Regional Financial Controller (Americas) will work closely with the Head of Finance, Americas to lead and strengthen the regional finance control environment across multiple jurisdictions. The role is responsible for driving accurate reporting, strong financial controls, effective billing and working capital management, statutory compliance, audit readiness, and finance transformation. The successful candidate will be a hands-on finance leader who can operate independently, influence local teams and stakeholders, and act as a trusted deputy to the Head of Finance, Americas.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes for Americas entities, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely, consistent, and supported by appropriate review and controls.

  • Oversee accounting transactions, balance sheet integrity, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and other key control processes, ensuring issues are identified, escalated, and resolved promptly.

  • Own and oversee client billing processes across relevant jurisdictions, ensuring billing is accurate, complete, aligned with approved fee arrangements, and issued sufficiently ahead of applicable license fee and statutory deadlines.

  • Monitor related accounts receivable balances and drive timely collection, escalation, and follow-up to ensure client funds are received before license fees and other statutory payments fall due.

  • Monitor regional cash flow requirements and working capital positions, coordinating with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational, statutory, and client-related payment obligations.

  • Oversee the payment of client license fees, government fees, and similar statutory amounts in applicable jurisdictions, ensuring payments are accurate, timely, compliant, and properly supported.

  • Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring expenses are accurately recorded, appropriately allocated, properly approved, and paid in accordance with vendor payment terms.

  • Lead the coordination of Group and statutory audits, statutory financial statements, corporate tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and related interactions with auditors, tax advisors, and local service providers.

  • Implement, maintain, and continuously strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support governance, audit readiness, and regional consistency.

  • Contribute to budgets, forecasts, financial planning, reporting improvements, automation, system clean-up, and other finance transformation initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Finance, Americas and Group Finance.

  • Act as a trusted deputy to the Head of Finance, Americas, taking ownership of delegated matters and providing reliable regional finance leadership when required.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, financial control, finance reporting, or regional finance operations, preferably within financial services, corporate services, trust, or fund services.

  • Professional accounting qualification, or advanced progress toward one, is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, statutory reporting requirements, audit processes, governance expectations, and multi-entity finance operations.

  • Experience operating in a multi-jurisdictional environment across North America, Latin America, and/or the Caribbean would be highly advantageous.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools to develop, interpret, and improve financial dashboards, management reports, and KPI analysis.

  • Comfortable using automation, AI-enabled tools, and emerging technologies to improve finance processes, reporting efficiency, data quality, and decision-making.

  • Experience with TrustQuay, NavOne, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central, or similar accounting and financial systems would be beneficial.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, review, and decision-making capabilities, with the confidence to challenge outputs, investigate issues, and recommend practical solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
