Job description
We are seeking a versatile Power Platform Support Engineer to join our IT operations team. This is a hybrid role responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions across the organization. This position combines hands-on development with production support, issue resolution, and operational ownership of Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and related integrations.
The role works closely with business stakeholders, IT operations, and developers to ensure solutions are reliable, scalable, and well-supported throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Development & Enhancement
Collaborate with business users, IT, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.
Design and develop Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven) with a strong focus on usability and develop custom functionality including:
Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls
JavaScript client-side logic using Client SDK
Custom integrations using Web API and REST services
Build and maintain Power Automate flows and Dataverse workflows to support business processes.
Integrate third‑party systems and Microsoft services (Dataverse, SharePoint, Azure) to extend solution capabilities.
Follow best practices for solution design, security, performance, and maintainability.
II. Application Support & Operations
Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for Power Platform applications and automations in production.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and integrations.
Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurring issues.
Monitor solution health, performance, and failures; proactively address risks.
Manage minor enhancements, bug fixes, and change requests post deployment.
Maintain technical documentation, support runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
Support release management activities including testing, deployments, and rollback planning.
Work with IT Operations and Security teams to ensure compliance with access control and governance standards.
Ideal Skills and Qualifications:
• Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven), Power Automate, Power BI
• Microsoft Dataverse security, data modeling, and access control
• JavaScript, HTML, CSS; familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React
• Power Apps Component Framework (PCF)
• REST/OData APIs and system integrations
• SharePoint and SharePoint API integrations
• Familiarity with Azure services and DevOps practices (CI/CD, environments, solution management)
• Proven experience designing and developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform
• Hands-on experience supporting live business applications in a production environment
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills across application and integration layers
• Ability to balance development work with operational support priorities
• Experience working collaboratively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications are highly preferred
