Bolder Malta Ltd (previously known as Athos Family & Business Services (Malta) Ltd) is part of the Bolder Group, an independent global service provider of corporate, funds, governance and private solutions to asset managers, corporations, multinationals as well as high net-worth individuals. Bolder group is present in 18 countries.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Junior Legal Advisor to join the legal team in our Malta office. The position calls for a responsible, highly motivated, and forward looking individual who is meticulous, organized and capable of working on his/her own initiative.

Responsibilities amongst others will include:

  • Performing all aspects of company and trust administration for a portfolio of clients;

  • Assisting with client on-boarding in line with internal policies and procedures;

  • Collecting and verifying due diligence conducted as part of know your client procedures;

  • Dealing with incorporations, amalgamations, re-domiciliation’s, liquidations and dissolutions;

  • Preparing documents in relation to transactions, including minutes and resolutions;

  • Preparing and filing of statutory forms and reports in a timely manner;

  • Maintaining up-to-date company and trust records, including due diligence documents;

  • Maintaining an organized and structured filing system;

  • Liaising with clients and various third-party service providers and authorities such as Transport Malta, the Malta Business Registry and the likes;

  • Attending to clients’ queries including meetings;

  • Assisting in bank accounts opening process.

  • Assisting with clerical matters related to the client portfolio.

  • Liaison with external parties such as Bankers, Auditors, Lawyers and Regulatory bodies.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments of the Company.

  • Maintain comprehensive and up to date client, business and transaction records on interaction with clients at all times.

  • Timely filing and updating of company and client information on relevant internal systems.

  • Ensure compliance of portfolio with applicable legal framework and prescribed deadlines.

  • Familiarize and adhere to internal policies and procedures.

Job requirements

Particular skills required:

  • Holds a degree in Law (MQF 6) or equivalent;

  • Minimum of one year experience in a similar role within a CSP;

  • Interest in corporate law and financial services law including a good understanding of Maltese company Law;

  • Desire for continuous learning and professional development;

  • Good command of the English language and good communication skills;

  • Proactive and hard-working individual with a meticulous approach to work and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;

  • Good time management skills, well developed interpersonal and organizational skills and an eye for detail;

  • A team player, willing to learn and have a hardworking and flexible approach to work;

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools;
