Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control or revenue generation.

  • Prepare management reports, including budgets, forecasts, and financial performance summaries.

  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.

  • Process and record transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy in the accounting system.

  • Oversee bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.

  • Review and manage payroll entries, accruals, and other recurring accounting processes.

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory filings.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for annual audits.

  • Monitor compliance with internal controls and recommend improvements as needed.

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient practices.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

  • Assist in financial planning and budgeting activities, including variance analysis.

  • Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • ACCA, or equivalent certification is preferred.

  • At least 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the management or financial services industry.

  • Experience with accounting software.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards (e.g., IFRS), and practices.

  • Familiarity with tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
