Job description
The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Luxembourg entity complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, particularly those set by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). The role involves the design, implementation, and oversight of the compliance framework and supports the business in managing regulatory risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for monitoring compliance with regulatory and organizational obligations.
• Maintain, implement, and continuously improve the local compliance framework in accordance with CSSF requirements and group policies.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the company’s business activities.
• Serve as the main point of contact with the CSSF and other relevant regulators regarding compliance-related matters.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and filings.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and ensure adequate internal controls are in place.
• Provide compliance training and guidance to staff on applicable laws, regulations, and policies (e.g. AML/CFT, GDPR, conduct rules).
• Perform regular monitoring, testing, and internal audits to assess the company’s adherence to regulatory standards.
• Support the Daily Authorized Managers and the Board in fulfilling their regulatory responsibilities.
• Investigate and report potential compliance breaches and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders as required.
Job requirements
Ideal skills & qualifications:
• Proven experience in a compliance role within a regulated financial or corporate services provider in Luxembourg.
• Strong knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory environment, including CSSF requirements and AML/CFT legislation.
• Previous experience in liaising with the CSSF is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and act with integrity and discretion.
• Fluency in English is required; French or German is considered an asset.
• Relevant certifications in compliance, risk, or AML are an advantage.
