Job description
We are seeking an experienced AML Manager to join our team based in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, specifically related to funds as well as corporates and the unique requirements of the Luxembourg financial market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the AML team with all relevant regulatory requirements, particularly within the funds sector.
- take ownership of complex AML matters and provide guidance and support to the AML Team and other business lines like CRM or the RC;
- managing and performing the AML/KYC functions including, but not limited to, the approval of new accounts, conducting AML, KYC and Customer Due Diligence checks, ongoing due diligence, risk assessments, enhanced due diligence;
- completing and reviewing Sanctions and PEP screening of investors/clients against the relevant lists;
- receiving and responding to ad hoc AML requests or inquiries;
- escalating financial crime concerns to the RC;
- providing advice and support to all participants in the AML/CFT control chain.
- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to Luxembourg regulatory standards and directives.
- Ensures that regulatory and non-regulatory requirements related to AML, CTF, Sanction list screening, PEP are compliant all the time through various CDD and EDD efforts like KYB, KYC, Transaction Monitoring, adverse media check, etc.
- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all obligations are met.
Job requirements
Ideal skills and competencies:
- A minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the funds industry.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, accounting, finance, or management, demonstrating a solid educational foundation.
- In-depth knowledge of Luxembourg’s regulatory environment, particularly concerning investment funds and financial services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably French, as effective communication is essential in our international work environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with both internal teams and external regulators.
