Business Development Director (Singapore)

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Director to spearhead our accelerating growth strategy in the South East Asian market, preferably based out of Singapore. With decades of experience and a commitment to innovation, we provide tailored solutions to investment fund clients, family offices, corporates and private clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate New Business: Develop and execute strategic plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the fund services sector, including alternative investment funds, SPV administration, and private wealth & family officesandnd all other line of businesses.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and other stakeholders in the industry, understanding their needs and promoting our comprehensive services.
  • Business Development Strategy: Collaborate with regional heads and local management to develop and execute a business development strategy for the South East Asian market, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Market Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends and developments, providing forward-looking insights and suggestions to senior management to decide business strategy and enhance the competitive edge of the firm.
  • Networking and Representation: Represent the company at financial conferences and networking opportunities, developing industry networks and fostering partnerships to drive business growth.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience: At least 5 years of experience in business development, consulting, or sales within the financial services sector, with a strong understanding of alternative investment and asset management markets.
  • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of local and offshore funds markets and other business lines with the ability to identify key players, products, and trends in the fund industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at various seniority levels.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic vision to pursue new relationships and business opportunities, with a demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a willingness to travel within the South East Asian market as needed.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; Mandarin (and/or other Asian languages) would be a plus.
